A Halstead-based events company is celebrating a major milestone after a year of growth, big-name collaborations and a renewed mission to champion emerging talent.
Mango Panda, led by directors Sean Howe, 36, and Chris Harvey, 35, marks one year since its rebrand from Local Nation this summer, following a busy 12 months that has seen the company expand its reach well beyond Essex.
Relaunched in August last year, the company was founded with the aim of bringing live events to local communities while giving a platform to up-and-coming artists in the music industry.
Since then, Mango Panda has delivered a series of standout moments, including hosting events in Benidorm and putting on its first London show.

The company has also made waves through its Mango Panda Droptop Sessions, working with well-known names such as MNEK, So Solid Crew, Pied Piper and Harry Shotta, alongside a growing roster of emerging talent.
Reflecting on the past year, Mr Howe said the journey has been both rewarding and humbling.
“We launched Mango Panda to create something that supports artists while bringing people together through music,” he said.
“To see how far it’s come in just a year is incredible.”
Looking ahead, the team has ambitious plans for the future, including expanding into private events and launching a summer festival by 2027.
In the meantime, Mango Panda continues to build momentum with a run of upcoming shows.
A garage event is set to take place in Romford on August 15, with plans for Colchester on August 22, before returning to Halstead on September 4.

The Halstead event, at The Dorrington in Bridge Street, holds particular significance for the team.
“It’s a full circle moment,” Mr Howe added. “That’s where we started our events, so it’s great to be back.”
He also paid tribute to the local community that has supported the business from the beginning.
He added: “I just want to say a big thank you to everyone in Halstead and the surrounding villages for their ongoing support - whether that’s liking and sharing our posts on social media or buying tickets to our events. It really does mean everything.”
