Three sisters are celebrating outstanding A Level results after years of supporting each other through education and an intense shared revision routine.
Triplets Amy, Nina and Ruby Moylan, all 18, have studied side by side since Year 7 before moving together into sixth form two years ago.
On results day, their hard work paid off with an impressive set of grades across the board - but the sisters say their success is rooted in teamwork.
They picked up their results at Braintree Sixth Form on Thursday.
“It’s been really good growing up here together, we’ve helped each other,” said Amy, who achieved A grades in maths and English literature, and a B in history, which is now being remarked.
The trio committed to a rigorous revision schedule, clocking up more than 700 hours collectively this year, often studying for up to eight hours a day.
“We did a lot of prep and revision - we got through it with a lot of coffee and good food,” Amy added. “We cut out sugar and just had plain pancakes with yoghurt.”
Nina, who secured four A grades in biology, chemistry, English literature and her EPQ, said the moment felt surreal.
“I’m over the moon, ecstatic, shocked - all of the above,” she said.
Ruby achieved an A* in history alongside two A grades and admitted she was taken aback by her top mark.
She said: “I was so shocked about the A* but really pleased.”
Despite studying different subjects, the sisters revised together daily, focusing on weak areas and testing each other to stay motivated - a strategy they credit with keeping them disciplined through long study days.
All three are now heading to top universities.
Amy will study history and economics at Durham, Nina is off to Bath to study biochemistry with an integrated master’s, and Ruby will attend UCL to study English language and literature, with ambitions of working in publishing.
For the Moylan sisters, their journey proves that hard work and a strong support system can make all the difference.
