A CROSS has been planted in tribute to fallen service personnel from North West Essex.

MP Kemi Badenoch laid the cross in the Parliament Garden of Remembrance, located in New Palace Yard, Westminster, as part of a collective act of remembrance involving MPs from across the UK.

Mrs Badenoch said: "It was a great honour and privilege to visit the Garden of Remembrance and lay a cross on behalf of North West Essex.

"It is a powerful moment to reflect on and pay tribute to those who gave their lives in service to our country.

"We will remember them."

The Garden of Remembrance was launched in 2021 by the Speaker of the House of Commons, Sir Lindsay Hoyle, in partnership with the Royal British Legion.
