EARLS Colne parish councillors met with Witham MP Priti Patel to discuss village priorities.

Ms Patel and the councillors discussed key issues affecting the village, including infrastructure and services.

The meeting also focused on ensuring residents' views are represented at both local and national levels.

Ms Patel said: "It was a pleasure to meet Earls Colne parish councillors and discuss the issues that matter to residents across the village.

"Parish councillors play an important role in representing their communities, and I value the opportunity to work closely with them to ensure Earls Colne has a strong voice."

Earls Colne became part of the Witham constituency following boundary changes during the 2024 General Election.

Since then, Ms Patel has been working with residents, community organisations and representatives to champion the village and raise issues on their behalf.

She said: "I will continue working with the parish council and the wider community to champion Earls Colne, support local priorities and ensure residents’ concerns are heard."
