THE Rodings Friendship Club held its annual August lunch at the Black Bull in Fyfield.

This year the group is mourning the loss of the club's chairwoman Jackie Eldridge, who passed away a few months ago.

Her two daughters, Jacky and Jacqueline, served a two-course meal to 53 members with the help of some extra staff.

A raffle, organised by Frances Tregunno, raised £153.

The club's next outing will take place Wednesday, September 23.

This will be the last trip of the summer, and is a mystery tour with a coffee stop in the morning, a fish and chip lunch, and another coffee stop in the afternoon.

Rodings Friendship Club welcomes members over 60 from any of the Rodings villages.
