The M25 has reopened after a major crash forced the motorway to stay closed until the early hours of this morning.
The anti-clockwise carriageway was shut at Junction 27 for the M11 after two lorries and a car collided.
One of the lorries jack-knifed and spilled diesel onto the road, requiring a full closure for clean-up and resurfacing.
National Highways said yesterday that the anti-clockwise carriageway would stay closed overnight for resurfacing.
The anti-clockwise M25 carriageway reopened at around 6.50am after a brief stoppage to remove cones.

Although traffic is beginning to move, long delays remain, with congestion stretching back towards Junction 28 for the Brook Street Roundabout.
The AA is currently reporting delays of around 80 minutes.
Drivers are advised to seek alternate routes where possible to avoid delays.
