A building housing a St Helena Hospice charity shop is on the market for £500,000.

Lamb and Co Property has listed 69 Crouch Street on Rightmove for £500,000 freehold.

The ground floor is let to the charity shop for £29,000 a year with its lease is due to expire in September 2027.

The Grade II listed building benefits from 30 minutes of free on-street parking, the listing says.

Behind its period façade, the ground floor provides a retail space with tiled floors, recessed lighting and natural light.

Security shutters at the front and rear, together with an alarm system, are installed.

Pedestrian access from Manor Road leads to a courtyard and a separate rear building containing a kitchen.

The first floor and attic include two offices, a storeroom, a further kitchen and a WC.

The upper accommodation could be converted into a self-contained apartment, subject to required planning permissions.

Business rates have a rateable value of £20,000, with approximate annual payments of £8,640.

The property has mains electricity, gas, water and sewer services and is understood not to be VAT elected.

St Helena Hospice held an event in July to announce its business strategy for the next three years after previous financial issues.
