A key A13 underpass has been closed following a serious crash, with disruption expected for Essex commuters travelling towards London this morning.
The closure is in place on the A13 eastbound into town at River Road, near Movers Lane, between Dagenham and Barking, while crash investigation work is carried out.
Queueing traffic and congestion have been reported back towards the Lodge Avenue Flyover.

A diversion is operating via the slip roads above the underpass.
Motorists heading from Essex towards London are being urged to allow extra time for their journeys and consider alternative routes where possible.
The Metropolitan Police has been contacted for comment.
