A woman has appeared in court over a fatal collision that caused the death of a "joyful" carer.
Shakinnah Storey, 28, of Northbrooks, Harlow, appeared at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, August 6, charged with causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving.
The charge relates to a crash on Epping Road in Ongar on Monday, September 23, 2024, involving a black Fiat 500 and a black Ford Ranger.
Purity Njagi, 35, also from Harlow and a passenger in one of the vehicles, died at the scene.
In a tribute released in October 2024, Purity's family said she was a woman who "had a thirst for life and was known for her joyful spirit."

Ms Storey pleaded not guilty to the charge.
She was granted unconditional bail and is scheduled to appear at Basildon Crown Court on Friday, September 4.
The Crown Prosecution Service authorised Essex Police to charge Storey following an investigation.
