The owners of a reality-show winning pub, restaurant and B&B has taken the property off the market due to local opposition to its planned sale.
The Gazette reported last month how the Court House in Great Bromley which won an episode of Channel 4's Four In a Bed was listed on Rightmove for £950,000.
It is owned by landlords Richard Prior and his wife Colleen and is no longer for sale, remaining open for the foreseeable future.
Mr Prior said: "We are no longer selling the Court House because of the response we had after putting it up for sale.
"The Court House is a successful business and is doing really well as it is."
The Court House won an episode of Channel 4’s Four In A Bed in 2024.
The show saw four B&B owners stay at each other's establishments and rate their experiences.
Mr Prior said the decision to no longer sell The Courthouse came after the reactions of locals.
"We realised that selling it was a bad idea as locals got the hump a bit."
The Court House dates from the 17th century when it was used as the local courthouse but was converted to an inn in the early 19th century.
The Rightmove listing mentioned features such as the restaurant and bar being able to accommodate 70 customers and 25 car parking spaces.

Mr Prior mentioned one of his original intentions in selling the pub was to put money into the Wooden Fender in Ardleigh and other businesses managed by him and his wife.
"The reason we originally put it up for sale was to sell the pub and expand the Wooden Fender and put money into it."
He emphasised the pub is still open and is operating as normal during its operating hours.
"We are not closed and we made a mistake by putting it up for sale in the first place.
"We will keep the pub for the foreseeable future and myself and Colleen will be running it for years to come.
He mentioned it's busy and lively atmosphere, especially during the weekend.
"It is a busy thriving pub and is always full on the weekends.
"We can't get in because of how busy it is
"It is one of the most popular pubs in the North East."
