A GREAT Chesterford Primary School pupil has been crowned the winner of the 2026 Crucial Crew poster competition.

Year 6 pupil Lola White took first place in the competition, which was run by the Uttlesford Community Safety Partnership (CSP).

Her winning design was revealed at a surprise school assembly on Thursday, July 16.

She was congratulated by councillor Maggie Sutton and Angela Greneski of the CSP, who also presented her with a prize.

Maggie Sutton, councillor responsible for communities and local partnerships at Uttlesford Council, said: "Crucial Crew gives young people the tools and confidence they need as they move into secondary school.

"The poster competition is a brilliant way for pupils to express what they’ve learned, and Lola’s entry stood out for its creativity and clear message.

"Congratulations to her and thank you to all the schools who took part this year."

Crucial Crew supports children as they prepare for the transition to secondary school, and is now in its 29th year.
