FUNDING of up to £50,000 is now available to support major community projects through Stansted Airport's Flagship Award.
The Stansted Airport Community Fund (SACF) is now inviting applications for both flagship and smaller grants.
Daniel Turpin, community engagement manager at London Stansted, said: "This is our biggest community grant programme of the year, and it's designed to support projects that will have a lasting impact locally.
"Last year's winners showed the difference this funding can make, from protecting our natural environment to improving important community facilities.
"We'd encourage any organisation with a strong proposal to take a look at what's available and apply."
The Flagship Award offers up to £50,000 for major projects, while smaller grants of up to £5,000 are also available.
Funding is open to organisations within a 10-mile radius of the airport.
Last year’s flagship grants supported two major projects.
Essex Wildlife Trust received £25,000 to refurbish a path at the Aubrey Buxton Nature Reserve near Stansted Mountfitchet.
Sheering Parish Council used its £25,000 grant to replace the roof of its village hall.
The improvements ensure the long-term use of the facility for community activities.

In total, nearly £31,000 was awarded to 11 projects in the last funding round.
Supported schemes included village improvements, youth services, and community wellbeing initiatives.
Applications close in September, with recipients to be announced later in the year.
